Whistlepig Farm and Black Fox Farm are independent farms working together in NW Boise.

We’re located on shared farmland that houses multiple farm businesses including two vegetable farms (that’s us!), a flower farm, and a herd of sheep.

Our growing practices are low-till and pesticide-free with an emphasis on soil health.

Whistlepig Farm

Whistlepig Farm is a vegetable farm located just outside of Boise, Idaho.

Whistlepig Farm is owned by Lyndsey Mulherin, a first-generation female farmer growing food for the Boise area since 2018. As a farmer, Lyndsey is passionate about soil health, biodiversity, and cultivating a deep sense of community.

You can purchase Whistlepig Farm’s pesticide-free produce by becoming a CSA member or shopping for home delivery at FarmDeliverBoise.com.

In addition to growing for CSA, Whistlepig Farm manages the nearby Hidden Springs Community Farm.

Black Fox Farm

Black Fox Farm shares land with Whistlepig Farm on their collaborative farmsite in the Boise foothills.

Owner Joe Redden specializes in intensive vegetable production with an emphasis on salad greens. In addition to growing Certified Naturally Grown produce, Black Fox Farm raises a small flock of pastured laying hens.

As a grower, Joe is always experimenting with ways to improve the soil for healthier, more resilient crops.

Black Fox Farm produce can be found at the Boise Farmers Market, at FarmDeliver, or by joining the CSA.
